PORTLAND, February 19, 2021- D6 Inc. the fastest design-to-shelf packaging manufacturer in the world, is excited to announce founder Edward Dominion has been selected by the Portland Business Journal as a 2020 Executive of the Year.
The highly competitive award recognizes 10 Oregon executives and selections were made based on critical strategy, guidance and management leading to exceptional performance during the 2020 calendar year.
The 10 honorees participated in a round table discussion hosted by the Portland Business Journal. At the round table, Ed recognized the extraordinary work by the D6 team in expanding their manufacturing during the pandemic to provide much needed personal protection equipment. “A process that normally takes two and a half years we did in under 8 months, working around the clock, sleeping at the office if needed, testing at OHSU (Oregon Health & Science University) when they were having Covid outbreaks…we stopped at nothing,” said Ed.
Since D6’s founding in 2014, Ed has led the privately held company to $100 million in annual revenue and 800 employees. Ed contributed the growth to a focus on their mission of transforming the packaging industry through transparency in the recycling chain. “We are in the business of taking waste, diverting it from landfills and upcycling it into containers, parts and other products that go into consumers’ households or retail and setting up a network for a circular economy to recapture those items, recycle them again, wash clean and make them food-grade or put them into other products,” Ed added at the round table.
